I've tried to redefine "min" in the interpreter and it worked… I dont know exactly why. Anyway, I think it is better to avoid use of reserved words as function names in the future

Python's built-in names are neither reserved nor protected. You can rebind a built-in name to a different object, either to another built-in or to an object you created. This includes function names. It's almost never a good idea to do so though.
