Do we need to compute cos x for x in degrees or radians? Thanks

In python documentations, we can find that:
Return the cosine of x radians."
That is, in the native form of math.cos we send as input a numeric number which is then processed by math.cos as radians.
Math.cos returns a 'y' which is defined for: -1<=y<=1.
From the question itself we can derive that we are expected to use the native form (or else, it should have been specified).
