האם פעולות השמה והשוואה נספרות כחלק מהפעולות?
למשל, בתחילת הקוד הראשון בסעיף נתונה השמה של ערך עבור משתנה i והשוואה בתחילת לולאת הwhile - האם כל אחת מהן נחשבת כפעולה שיש לספור?

בנוסף, האם פעולת שיערוך כגון len(lst) גם כן נספרת?

As we wrote in the exercise, any single operation here is counted as O(1).
This includes comparisons, assignments, and arithmetical operations.
(In general, one may choose to take such operations into account, when the size of the numbers is considered part of the problem size).

You may assume Python's len takes O(1) - this is indeed so.

So to sum up, in this question we care about the number of iterations only (much like what we did in the exercise in Tirgul 5).
